QUETTA: A shutter down strike campaign is going on in a number of Balochistan districts including Quetta against the arrest of Jamhuri Watan Party (JWP) president Shahzain Bugti and his security guards. In some areas of Quetta JWP activists even resorted to aerial firing.
According to media reports, a partial shutter down strike was being observed in Liaquat Bazaar, Prince Road, Masjid Road, Shahrah-e-Iqbal, Circular Road and others areas of Quetta. The administration has deployed police and Balochistan Constabulary to avoid any untoward incident. JWP activists forcefully closed shops in few areas and resorted to aerial firing due to which police seized their arms at Jungson chowk.-Online
