Nation today marks Quaid’s 134th birth anniversary

ISLAMABAD: The nation will celebrate the 134th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah with national spirit and enthusiasm today (Saturday).  The day has been announced a public holiday in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The national flag will be hoisted at all government buildings throughout the country. The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the the great leader Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and prosperity and development of the country.  31-gun salute and 21-gun salute would be given in federal capital and provinces respectively.
The representatives of three services (Army, Navy and Air Force) and people from all sections of the society will lay floral wreaths on behalf of their respective services at the mausoleum of the Quaid in Karachi.

Number of political, social, cultural and educational organisations has chalked out programmes to mark the occasion in a befitting manner.
Radio and television have arranged special programmes on the life, ideals and achievements of Quaid-e-Azam. Scout rallies and march-pasts of school children will also be held.
The birth anniversary of the Quaid-e-Azam will be marked with reiteration of the pledge to sacrifice their lives for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, besides giving equal response to enemy in case of war and making Pakistan strong and prosperous in line with the wishes and vision of father of the nation.-Online
