LAHORE: As a major breakthrough in anticipation to see improvement in women cricket, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued endorsement to awarding the Central Contract for women cricketers with effect from January, 2011, Geo News reported Thursday.
The decision was reached amid a meeting of PCB’s Governing Body held here in the headquarters of Pakistan cricket on Thursday. Meeting also concluded raise in incentives of former cricketer older than 60 years.
The meeting was presided over by board’s chief Ijaz Butt, which reviewed bank accounts of previous years, formation of Integrity Committee and approval of inclusion of two persons in Monitor Panel.
Justice Retired Mohammed Saeed Akhtar and Justice Retired Fazal Mira Chauhan will be included in Monitor Panel, the meeting decided.
The next General Body sitting of PCB would be held in first quarter of 2011, the meeting concluded.
