Fazl refuses to change stance

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of PPP-led government returned empty-handed from the Islamabad residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur Rehman on Wednesday as the estranged ally of government refused to change his stance on quitting ministries.
A delegation of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party, led by Minister for Labour and Manpower Minister Syed Khurshid Shah, held a meeting with Rehman in order to bring back JUI-F in the ruling coalition fold, but the JUI-F chief remained resolute to rejoin the power.
“We will not retreat from our principle stand,” Rehman spoke to reporters outside his residence after the meeting. He said “I assure the nation that there is no possibility of any change in our decision.”
He reiterated that PPP government disappointed the JUI-F with its unilateral decision to sake Swati from his office sans any reason. -Agencies
